About the Supported Lodgings National Network
A Home for Good initiativeThe Supported Lodgings National Network (SLNN) brings together local authorities and independent organisations providing supported lodgings across the UK. The Network exists to strengthen the quality, availability and understanding of supported lodgings. By bringing schemes together, we create opportunities to share best practice, build connections, learn from one another and provide a collective voice for the sector. Today, the SLNN brings together more than 150 Supported Lodgings schemes, making it a national community for those delivering and developing supported lodgings
What is supported Lodgings?
Supported lodgings is a provision for young people aged 16+ whereby they live in the home of a ‘host’ family or individual. It aims to provide a balance of independence and support, with the host responsible for supporting the young person to develop skills for independence and providing other emotional and practical help.
A Home for Good initiative
The Supported Lodgings National Network was established and is led by Home for Good.
Home for Good works towards a society where no family feels alone, and every child has a home where they can flourish. Through the SLNN, Home for Good brings together the supported lodgings sector, develops and shares best practice, amplifies the experiences of young people and hosts, and advocates for the continued development and growth of supported lodgings.
